From the dawn of mankind to the present day, 1001 Unforgettable Brits chronicles the kings, queens, aristocrats, paupers, warriors, thinkers, inventors, artists, eccentrics, rebels, conformists and other animals who've shaped the land. Some of the names included are hugely famous, while others are people whose stories are perhaps less well-known. All of them, in one way or another, have made a contribution to the histories of England, Scotland, Wales and a few of the nearby islands.
The rules for inclusion are simple: everyone in this book is dead (with one or two exceptions), they're all human (apart from a few examples) and they were all born in Britain (other than a small number who started somewhere else).
