Tracheotomy

A new edition of a highly popular and successful coverage of the subject, Tracheotomy has now been fully revised, updated and expanded, with new chapters including Dr. John Schaefer's Alternatives to Tracheotomy and Teaching Airway Management. In addition, Dr. Harvey Slater has contributed an excellent new chapter with current concepts on management of tracheotomy in burn patients. Advances in technology leading to improvements in tracheostomy tubes are reflected in a chapter on the subject by Professor Carl-Eric Lindholm from Sweden. Other advances and new techniques and practices are reflected throughout, including the management of airway problems in newborn children using the EXIT technique.
