These desultory sets of verse, written from time to time in illustration of various episodes in Lord Rosebery's late Administration, ha... ve, with one exception, been alreadyliin print: the majority in The National Observer,' four in The World,' two in 'punch.' I have to acknow ledge the courtesy of the editors of The National Observer' and 'the World' in allowing me to reprint work that has appeared in their pages.
