This Place

Did you know that life is what you make of it? Sounds cliche I know but no truer words have EVER been spoken. I believe that our emotions are tied to how we experience life. Simply put, our life experience depends solely on us, and it does not ride on the backs of those we've experienced it with. I may have very fond memories of a time of stable circumstance or great experiences I have encountered with others, but what determines how the experience felt to me is ME. How I felt on that day is all contingent upon my emotional state and how I responded that day. Each time we feel joy, pain, angst or indecision it is our EXPERIENCE and it is based on how we perceive the situation that we are in at that time. The people or persons around during that time are just props. You and your spiritual connection to God or the Higher Power you choose to worship determines how you respond to life and its occurrences. How we react is not controlled by anyone else. This book is my release and testimony. It is filled with poetry that evokes emotion and revelation that leads to enlightenment, and resolution for the sometimes-painful situations that I like many others experience from time to time. Experiences like feeling as if I wasn't enough, not a good enough friend, mother, sister or WOMAN.I've learned that I AM ENOUGH in God's eyes and that's all that should ever matter to any of us, that we are enough for him. The fact that a higher power knew us before we were formed and had already had a plan for our lives should be a 50-year energy boost to our self-esteem, and that alone is enough for God. Jeremiah 1:5 says," Before I formed you in the womb, I knew you, before you were born, I set you apart;I appointed you as a prophet to the nations"Just as Mary was enough to give life to the Son of God, we are also enough to give life to every situation that the devil thought was for our detriment. We are enough The poetry that I have written has fed my spirit during my midnight hours in which I experienced pain, and feelings of not being enough. Expressing myself through poetry is a gift given to me by God. We all have been given gifts. My interpretation as to what God's intent was in giving me this gift is to help other people through their midnight hours. You may say to yourself, "How can she tell what God gave her as a gift or what God wants her to do with it?" My answer to you is "Spiritual Connectivity," and the Word of God and prayer. The act of becoming connected spiritually to God your Creator is Spiritual Connectivity. Examples of how to become more spiritually connected are: Become aware of your gifts and share them in God's name and for his glory Be willing to recognize and change those things that are not of God which exists in you. Accept change even if it's painful. The MOST important example is the ability to be quiet long enough for God's voice to resonate throughout your core.
