Beskrivelse

This third book in the series on the Tabernacle, Temple, and Sanctuary covers the Book of Leviticus. During that part of the journey to the promised land, God continued to reach out to Israel on a number of levels. One of the most predominant levels involved Aaron, the first high priest, and of course his sons, the priests under Aaron. God used symbols of the family on many levels to convey the relationship He held out to the entire camp crossing the wilderness. Many other lessons are taught in the fact, Aaron waited for instructions from his younger brother Moses. When we examine the sequence of lessons God taught on that journey, we see why God chose the younger son as His prophet, and the elder son as the first high priest. Those lessons are personal and still apply to Christian ministry today. The main theme of this book is to identify and take an in depth look at each story related to the priesthood and services inside the Tabernacle. Most people look at the services and symbols, never noticing Moses omitted explanations revealing the spiritual meaning of those symbols. Missing that little detail omits one of the most important questions in scripture. Why didn't Moses explain the symbols in the Tabernacle? Once we see what appears to be missing in the books Moses recorded, we can begin to see and understand the concise sequence God used to teach Moses the prophet, Aaron the high priest, Aaron's sons, the Levites, and other people in the community. God used a distinct pattern to teach each of them. Of course God had a good reason to follow those patterns. Each of those sequences equips us with valuable information we need to effectively reach the world today. In essence, Moses recorded a handbook for teachers of all ages. How that information is used is up to you. Think of the spiritual implications. Israel and a host of other people just left Egypt where they lived as slaves for 400 years. All they knew was how to take orders and preform tasks assigned since birth. Apply that style of life to a life of sin. Then apply that symbolism to a journey across the wilderness to the promised land. We also have to pay attention to the sequence Moses recorded the sacrifices. When Moses recorded them, what the specific steps were, and why Moses presented particular sacrifices at a specific time. Each of those details has a direct bearing on their spiritual meaning.
