The Routledge Companion to El Greco

Celebrating the fourth centenary of the death of El Greco (c.1541-1614), this volume analyzes the state of scholarly research on the artist. The Companion is carefully conceived to represent international perspectives on El Greco, who lived in different lands and, in modern times, has drawn critical acclaim from beyond the borders of his homelands.
