Part 1 of 2. A heavily-researched, fictional account of James Sadler - 18th Century pioneer of flight. Oxford Cook, James Sadler, is possessed by the idea of manmade flight. But family, friends and his community perceive this a dangerously-impossible dream, fraught with risk of serious injury or death. A chance meeting with eccentric Dr George Fordyce offers opportunity and risk. James must choose between security & love or the life of a pioneer.
