The Lion and the Fox

This book is different from other books with the same title. It is a tale of intrigues, betrayals, horse-trading by political leaders in a typical African country transiting from colonialism to self-governance. The animals are representative of character traits displayed by politicians jostling for political power, fame and money. The language is simple and straightforward. It is satirical in tone and the narrative is folkloric and African. The message here is that politics in Africa is usually egocentric and not necessarily about service to humanity. African leaders sometimes find it hard to relinquish power when they are defeated, and when this happens, the winners are often sidetracked or sacrificed to pave way for peace. This is a work of fiction that appeals to the general reader.
