This book is the journey of the Orthodox Church in Rakesh's life - from being a distant barely needed decoration at one point in life to an integral, absolutely essential part of life. Given his early life - it would have been easy for him to go far far away from the Church, but he stayed - why? This book is an exploration of this question.The forces that repelled him from the Church were very strong, how did he overcome?

A Malankara Orthodox Christian growing up in Bombay and later living in the USA explores the journey of His Church life. By using the benefit of hindsight, viewed from the perspective of the individual, it is indeed possible to see how all the different life's situations came together for him to save him. All life's situations are ultimately expressions of God's love.
