An opportunity arrives when a joint envoy from the neighboring nations of Fynn and Khaldun seek the elves assistance in catching those responsible for a series of mysterious and gruesome deaths. If the perpetrator isn't caught, the hard won but still delicate peace between the two nations could be lost. Treacherous weather and events affecting the people of Fynn delay their return to Selvedge, the city situated at the heart of the mystery. Renn must help the people of Fynn while looking for an elusive enemy who delights in terror.
