"He wiped his sweaty forehead with his forearm, then cleared back his long wet mop of hair. He approached the microphone which captured his heavy breathing, firmly grasped it and shouted: 'We are TAKAN '" Here is the humble and sincere account of the infancy of the band TAKAN , which will become the figurehead of the most important heavy metal movement; driven by these boys, vulgar but brilliant and engaging, just out of adolescence, still clumsy and tormented, but full of potential, exalted by metal music-and girls-and obsessed with their artistic project. In the marginal realm of metalheads, of highly distorted and screaming guitar, of rumbling bass, of tumultuous drums and roaring vocals, arises, however, a genuine chronicle tinged with camaraderie, ambition, dedication, and perseverance.
