Ewell: Roman Roads on the T ayle's Hill Site... . It was not found possible, in View of the work at Leatherhead, to do any further work at this site during 1949, but it is hoped to resume work here when time permits.
Old M alden. Mr. Carpenter continued work here during 1949 and made important finds of Iron Age, Roman and Early Mediaeval occupation. A full report on this work is now being prepared by Mr. Carpenter for publication by the Society, and, in View of its appearance being expected shortly, further details must await publication of his detailed report.
Neolithic Site at East H orsley. During the year Commander K. R. U. Todd has been excavating one of the mines at this site, which he discovered, and, aided by a grant from our Excavation Fund, will continue this work during 1950.
