Sanctity tells the stories of an ordinary man, Tommy Capps, and his extraordinary experiences as a PFC in Vietnam and a state investigator specializing in crimes against children. The vivid flashbacks of his experiences as a nineteen-year-old draftee in 1966 and his investigation of a serial rapist in the peaceful Mennonite community in the 1990s intertwine with Capps' memories of growing up in rural Missouri in the 1940s and 1950s.
