Beskrivelse
This report presents the findings of the follow-up review of the U.S. Army proposal for Caustic VX Hydrolysate (CVXH) waste transportation, treatment, and subsequent discharge of treated material into the Delaware River. The U.S. Army's plan for destroying their stockpile of bulk VX, a nerve agent developed for use in chemical warfare results in a treatment byproduct known as CVXH. The review was a joint effort by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA).
