Victory for Germany would mean the death-knell of our hopes and ambitions as free Democracies and would jeopardise the future welfare of our humanity such a result we cannot and will not accept.
His Majesty's Fleet has driven the German battleships and Mercantile Marine from the high seas and is keeping the ocean clear for Allied traffic. In the air the Allies are supreme. We look forward with confidence to the day when, with the assistance of the soldiers of the United States, the Allies will march through victory to a just and lasting peace.
