Excerpt from Manual of Dental Surgery and Pathology
IN introducing Mr. Coleman's Manual of Dental Surgery and Pathology to the American profession the preface furnished by the author renders it unnecessary for the editor to say more than will suffice to indicate very brie¿y h... is own share in its preparation for publication. The care which Mr. Coleman has bestowed upon his work has left but comparatively few additions to be supplied.
In no direction, perhaps, has the ingenuity of the American mind been more actively exercised than in the production of an immense variety of instruments for the use ot' the dental surgeon. The difficulty experienced by the student in making proper selections from these has seemed to justify the insertion of a special chapter devoted to their choice.
