"Mami, d nde est mi zapato?" ("Mommy, Where's My Shoe?")

This bilingual (English-Spanish) book of activities accompanies a CD with a collection of twelve original songs in Spanish. The book is for parents and teachers and includes the Spanish lyrics and English translations, guitar chords, movement games, dance and visualization activities. The book's beautiful and playful illustrations comment on the songs and help explain the activities.

The songs and activities are best suited for children ages 0-6, but may also be enjoyed by older children and adults. Simple lyrics and enchanting melodies will appeal to students of Spanish as a second language as well as to Spanish speakers.

This work was published by the Hampton-Brown Company, under the title "C ntame en Espa ol," and distributed to schools throughout the U.S. between the years 1990-2000. It has also been widely distributed in Mexico. It is loved by several generations of children who grew up singing the songs and by the parents and teachers who sang and played with them. Many of them also made up their own games and versions of the songs.
