Master Chief Gordon W. Farrell, a war baby born in Rochester New York in 1944, traveled the country with his parents from the time he was four until he was thirteen when they settled in Kentucky. By the time he was eighteen he was in Navy Blue and underway again. He flew as an air crewman in the old S-2 in Viet Nam in 1964 and 1965.
Herein lies not the gilded words of a prince of academia, whose titles trail his name like alphabet soup. Find here the surviving verbiage of multiple wrecked drafts offered by a writer who bears but one title. The Master Chief beckons, and wants to share with you the journey of a lifetime.
