The term BIOETHICS is only 90 years old. Fritz Jahr coined it and defined the BIOETHICAL IMPERATIVE in 1926, but the vision and the mission of caring for all forms of bios and biotopes is `old wisdom' found in many cultures and religions. Amir Muzur and Hans-Martin, in collaboration with over a dozen leading bioethicists worldwide, present a diverse and forward looking GLOBAL DISCOURSE on the future of bioethics in the 21th century. The contributions are presented both in the native language of the authors and in their English translation.
