References are made for all the paradigms and rules to four grammars, - Andrews and Stoddard's, Allen and Grenough's, Harkness's (latest edition) and Bartholomew's. There is given, however, for the help Of the teacher in harmonizing the class in the memorizing Of rules, where several grammars are used in the same class, a list Of twenty rules, which the pupils may learn as the constructions are presented in the lessons.
