The study known as 'Ethnosport' describes the cultural diversity, identity, and folk traditions in sports, with special reference to Eastern cultures. A rich world - of games, competitions, rituals, and festivities - opens when examining Russia as well as the minority peoples' cultures of Siberia, Central Asia, and East Asia.
