Excerpt from Das Edle Blut
It is hoped that the division into lessons, the German ques tions to test the pupil's understanding of the text, and the abundant Opportunity for grammar review will prove accept able and serve to lighten the burden of the teacher. The titles Of the... chapters were added by the editor.
The plan Of this text is similar to that Of the other texts Of this series, and its basic principles are those of The Walter Krause Beginners' German.
All the apparatus is intended to be suggestive Of what may be done. Each teacher will be guided by the needs Of the class in determining what to use. The editor would emphasize, however, the value Of the exercises in word-construction. In his Opinion, this is one Of the most fruitful, if not the most important, means of vocabulary-building.
