Dancing with Myself draws its rich constellation of works from the amazing collection of Fran ois Pinault, exploring the major roles that contemporary artists have played as their own protagonists in the art of the last decades. The volume surveys artists who perceive their own bodies and identities as unique and malleable raw material in a way that surpasses the confines of traditional self-portraiture.
