We don't always get to choose who we love, but we do get to decide if we stay.
Sara's life has never been easy. At sixteen, she's diagnosed with Bipolar disorder and Manic Depression.
Cash Williams notices the girl with blonde curls and dark circles under her eyes, and the two form an unbreakable bond. Sparks fly, and the trails of first love and butterflies take hold. Cash spends evenings sneaking into her bedroom window and talking until the sun rises. They can't seem to get enough of one another so Cash asks Sara to marry him despite his parent's disapproval.
After the two elope, Cash moves them away from his disapproving parents to a small town in rural America.
He becomes deputy sheriff there, and the two begin to build a life for themselves. Despite Sara's crippling anxiety, she begins working at the local library and forms relationships with the women there.
Over the years, Cash has to learn how to navigate Sara's illness, terrified at times of what it may cause her to do. Sara worries she isn't good enough for Cash and constantly needs reassurance of his love for her.
Life isn't easy, but Cash never gives up on the woman he loves. Even when all hope seems lost, he promises never to leave her side.
But sometimes love isn't enough to save us, even when we give it everything we have.
