Carl Philipp Fohr. 1795-1818. The Perfection of the Incomplete. Monograph and Critical Catalogue Raisonne Carl Philipp Fohr (1795-1818), who drowned in the Tiber at the young age of 22, is nowadays remembered mainly as a precociously talented Romantic who died before his time, his life incomplete. His oeuvre of more than 800 drawings and watercolors, as well as seven paintings, a number of prints, and his instantly recognizable participation in the creation of works by artist-friends, remain largely unknown, however."
