She released a science fiction novel, Planetfall, from Roc Books (Penguin Random) in Nov 2015 which was highly praised and has sold 2,308 copies (TP).- Author's fans are dedicated. Though the series has been without a new book for two and a half years, the author organized a giant LARP (Live Action Role Playing) game event in Bath, England for May 2016 and sold out tickets in just a few days. Diversion is organizing a promo to be given away at the LARP event. - Popular Genre: Urban fantasy has been a successful market since the late 1990s when Laurell Hamilton began writing her Anita Blake and Merry Gentry novels. Emma Newman freshens the concept up by mashing it up with an equally popular alt-Victorian England setting.- Author is extremely proactive self-marketer. She is active online and on social media (including Twitter, FB, and her personal blog) and has a long-running podcast "Tea and Jeopardy" which has been nominated for a Hugo Award two years in a row. In 2015, her podcast averaged up to 10,000 downloads per month.
