The Bible tells us that God created everything on Earth. The first humans God created, Lilith and Adam, were created at the same time from the same soil. But Lilith did not want to be subservient to Adam as he demanded and left the Garden in a fit of rage. At the Red Sea, Lilith became the immortal mother to all demons. Her seductive beauty has been the downfall of angels and humans alike. Only those she has made immortal have seen her true form, but she carries the mark of the serpent somewhere on the body of whatever form she chooses to take. She has chosen God's strongest warrior to be her mate, the only angel to not be charmed by her beauty. Tristen has worked his way from a fledgling to the leader of the warrior angel's and has loyally followed his Father's every command. The only thing he has ever questioned was why his Father would allow vampires to continue walking the Earth. So many of the humans he has fought for have died by their hands. God has tolerated Tristen questioning his will long enough and punishes him.
