A Place Called Skull: Book II of The Walking Gods Trilogy

A city lies in ruins. A wizard walks into the desert, a weapon of magic in his hands. The gods themselves begin to gather. The stakes might very well be the very existence of humankind. Perhaps more importantly and more deadly, also there lies the remains of the ancient Zarroc, a race that existed before men, a race which enslaved mankind and created the gods themselves.
