A Death in the Neuk

A body is washed up on a Scottish beach in the East Neuk of Fife. Alan Green recognises it as the head of a local electronics company where he once worked. Detective Sergeant Bill Hamming enjoys his work and has a happy home life - in fact he sometimes wonders if he is cut out to be a detective at all. Something about this death nags at his mind. Could it be more than a routine tragic accident? If so, he will have to find evidence for his report before his boss loses patience. Alan and software engineer Jenny Thomson find themselves drawn into the espionage schemes of a ruthless politician and the ambitions of a serial widow. The high-tech industry and picturesque landscapes of eastern Scotland form the backdrop to their search for a killer - if there is one.
