"Tisha is the story of Anne Hobbs, who left the "lower 48" states and traveled to Alaska to become teacher in a one-room school house. She learns the challenges of life in the wilderness, while "coming of age". You will be fascinated by life on the last frontier, and find it impossible to put the book down. It is a pioneer story, perhaps one of the last that can be written.
The reader will feel they have traveled to and lived in Chicken, Alaska, and as the book is so well written, you will face the challenges with as much feeling as Anne herself. I would recommend this book for ages 12 and up. Even if English is your 2nd language, you can read it with ease, and be glad you did. A great read! Highly recommended. You will want to read it again and again as you discover human nature, and the beauty of the last frontier.
